This is the most prestigious award of the Fylde Coast Community Awards, recognising an individual who has done something truly exceptional and made a significant difference to others or the wider community.
Alistair Taylor was a much loved member of our community who was nominated for our very first awards. Sadly, Alistair passed away during the awards process. He stood for so much of what these awards are about and did so much for his community, so we decided to name our highest award after him.
Unlike our other categories, there is no public vote for this award. Anyone can nominate, but the winner is selected by the Fylde Coast Community Events team and Alistair's family.
We are looking for an extraordinary act of bravery, selflessness, kindness or dedication, or someone who has gone above and beyond to make a genuine difference to others.
Please tell us why you believe your nominee deserves the Alistair Taylor Award, including as much detail as possible about what they have done, the circumstances surrounding it and the difference they have made.
Nominations end 25th September 2026.
Nomination disclaimer: Nominations must be meaningful and provide genuine reasons for recognition. We reserve the right to decline, remove or disregard nominations that do not meet our eligibility criteria, lack sufficient detail, are submitted inappropriately or do not provide a genuine basis for consideration.
Nominees must not offer incentives, rewards or other benefits in exchange for nominations or votes, or otherwise attempt to influence the awards process unfairly. Any nominee found to be doing so will be removed from the awards.Â
